Confidencias

So long of living in shadows,
of wandering lifelessly.
So many nights of dreaming of you
without having you near.
So much crying, so much absence,
had me defeated
and alone I walked a thousand paths.

The stars, the sea and the moon
were not moved
their silence scorned my sorrow
challenged my pride.

And in my gloom
the little star
of a pretty cocuyo,
was my confidant
listened to my complaints
and cried too.
