Eleonora Kalganova with the Maestros of Tango.2 Festival 2019 – No mientas

¡No mientas! ¡No mientas! Si en tus ojos he leído que tu amor ya me he perdido y es inútil suplicar. ¡Hablame!

Your words were the song of my hope and in your warm hands my heart fell asleep. I was so happy and my trust was so blind, that doubt never came into my reason. But today I only feel that your tears burn me and that unholy cry that wants to convince me. It is the laughter of your voice, which condemns me to live always deceived in your love. Do not lie! That your sinful mouth distinguishes itself when it implores your lies when you swear. Do not lie! If in your eyes I have read that I have already lost your love and it is useless to beg. Speak to me! The truth I want you to tell you don't kill with intrigues that way a heart Don't lie! That I become bitter when I contemplate you and the eagerness to forgive you could make me treason. I know that if you take pity on my agonizing life and in a frank gesture you let me see your inner self I will find the embers of my love in ashes, but I don't care if that's the way it should be. I just want to see you with my soul uncovered, facing everything to have sincerity So that when I leave with my poor dead flowers, I'll take at least from your lips the truth.
