Sabrina and Ruben Veliz – Mi dolor, Bellaria 2019

Mi dolor llegó a curar. Pero hoy te he visto junto a mi lado pasar.

I return from far away lands where I went yesterday I went to seek oblivion to my pain, consolation to the soul that suffered, by believing in the deceptions and promises of love. On my way to oblivion, which is a balm for suffering, I departed carrying in my bitterness the cruel memory of the fortune that in other times I thought I lived with you. I was slave of your heart and I yielded to your whims and you repaid me with betrayal. Today, my soul healed of its wound, I think that I will never again to beg for your love. Because wherever I went my sorrows to forget of love I knew the delights to intoxicate. My pain came to heal. My passion only gave the senses to love, but my soul let its purity to preserve and so soon came its sorrows to forget. But today I saw you by my side pass by. My heart beat so fast that the wound I thought was healed at the sight of you suddenly opened up, for neither caresses nor oblivion were enough to soothe my pain neither caresses nor oblivion were enough to calm my pain. Once again I suffer for being loved and today, as then, I am a slave to your love.
